Mafia Wars CUBA

Zynga is beta testing a new enhancement to their popular game, Mafia Wars. At least, I can confirm it’s on the Facebook version…. I can’t speak for the other networks. When I logged on this morning I was greeted by a button that said “Fly to Cuba”. So I clicked it and the game changed themes. I was now in Cuba, all the jobs are replaced with Cuba jobs. I still have my level, which gives me access to all the jobs, but they all have prerequisites and I have no Cuban money to buy the equipment. You have to slowly build up to be able to do the jobs.

Fighting is the same, you fight the same people with your same equipment. Presumably when you get loot in Cuba you can fight later fight with it.

Property is different. You don’t just buy a ton of properties, you buy businesses. You don’t buy them over and over again, you just buy one of each and then they produce product for you at regular intervals.

UPDATE: I received this message from someone in my mafia. Good advice:

For those of you how are playing the Cuban part of Mafia Wars. Here is a trick. Do not stay in Cuba. Do your jobs, buy your inventory and then go back to NY Mafia. All the extra stuff you get by completing Levels like reduced time to get more Energy, double Energy (if you got Master Boss), accumulate when you are in NY. If you are in Cuba, you only accumulate Energy at a slower rate and only one at a time (for Master Bosses).

Right now, fights all happen in NY (even if you are in Cuba), any money gets taken out and put in your NY mafia “wallet”.
